Hours : Minimum 16 hours on Friday & Saturdays; 10 : 00am-6 : 00pm; Part-Time
Location : Wellspring Treasures Retail Store, Peachtree City
Position Summary : This role will The Cashier is the primary sales associate for Wellspring Treasures and serves as the face of Wellspring Living and the retail stores for customers and volunteers.
The Cashier position is based on customer service, relationships, and assuring customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
The Cashier is responsible for processing sales transactions in an accurate, timely manner and in accordance with all store pricing policies and operating procedures.
This position also presents Wellspring Living’s mission and vision to first-time customers and updates repeat customers on current events and activities within the organization.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :
Retail Support :
Present a cheerful and friendly demeanor for customers as the face of Wellspring Living and Wellspring Treasures
Provide customer service assistance to English and Spanish speaking customers
Record transactions through the cash register in an accurate and timely manner
Be attentive to machine tape levels and replace at the first sign of red
Knowledge of today’s Specials
Give Frequent Shopper Cards to customers and update cards with each purchase, marking cards for each $5.00 spent
Verify customer information on check purchases (e.g., name, phone number, driver’s license number and expiration date)
Obtain Manager on Duty approval for checks over $50.00
Maintain the cash drawer and the cashier station in a neat, orderly manner
Be alert to first-time shoppers and share information about the store and the Wellspring Living mission
Give first-time shoppers the Wellspring Living flyer / pamphlet
Unload priced buggies and restore racks to neat and tidy conditions during times of slower store traffic
Return hangers to backroom on a routine basis and keep store clutter out of site
Utilize Volunteer support from the floor or backroom at the cash register to help bag, wrap dishes, box times, etc. during times of high store traffic

Call immediately for Manager on Duty involvement when anyone drops off furniture and / or furniture is sold
Communicate to the Manager on Duty any unusual activity throughout the day
Communicate / make end of shift notes for the Manager or oncoming cashier at the close of your shift to tie up any loose ends
Professional Qualifications :
Simple math skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, percentage discounts, calculating tax)
Retail or food service sales experience preferred
Strong administrative and organizational skills with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs)
Position Requirements :
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment background checks, including criminal history, fingerprinting, and drug testing.
Continued employment is subject to ongoing compliance with these checks
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment
Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
Ability to sell, upsell, and shoulder sales objections / rejections
Ability to remain calm under pressure (e.g., when customer changes mind, when cash register error occurs)
Working Conditions :
Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area
Minimal travel across the Metro Atlanta area, as needed
Ability to lift and move furniture and items (up to 40 pounds), clothing, and household goods as needed
Ability to work upright for long time periods, such as standing and walking
Ability to work for long periods at a computer
