Job Description
This role supports senior retail leaders by aligning HR initiatives with business goals to drive organizational effectiveness.
This role involves strategic planning, employee relations, talent management, and training to enhance company performance and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Partnership : Collaborate with district leaders on strategic plans, organizational assessments, and coaching to enhance employee relations.
- Employee Relations & Performance Management : Handle complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide performance management guidance.
- HR Processes & Initiatives : Drive People Team processes, offer feedback to HR leaders, and support recruitment efforts.
- Succession Planning & Talent Management : Facilitate succession planning, identify high-potential talent, and develop strategic growth plans.
- Training & Development : Develop and present training programs, participate in regional meetings, and ensure adequate training for field teams.
- Market Trends & Compensation : Stay informed on compensation trends and recommend workplace improvements aligned with company values.
- HR Metrics & Analytics : Use HR metrics and analytics for data-driven decision-making to improve performance and retention.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in a variety of Human Resources roles with increasing responsibilities (Preferred)
- 6+ years in HR role supporting large hourly workforce operating in a geographically matrixed organization. (Required) Retail environment preferred.
- 6+ years of experience should include a combination of Employee Relations. (Preferred)
- 6+ years assessing organizational systems and structures, business strategies, and informed about emerging industry trends. (Required)
- 6+ years of proven success partnering with management, serving as a credible and trusted resource. (Required)
- 6+ years of experience implementing short and long-term human resource / change management initiatives. (Required)
- 6+ years analyzing and interpreting data to produce reports that give insight into organizational performance. (Required)
- 6+ years of experience with data analysis, report writing and presentation management. (Required)
Skills :
- Must be able to identify talent gaps, trends and development needs of the client group, its managers, key individuals, and people in key positions. (Required)
- Must be able to effectively communicate ideas and opinions while influencing others and achieving the desired outcome. (Required)
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Power Point and Excel (create presentations, spread sheets, pivot tables, V-look up, charts, graphs, etc.). (Required)
Certifications : PHR / SHRM Certification preferred.
Travel Requirements : 10% travel to various markets for support and implementation of HR programs.
