Construction Estimator (White Marsh Station)

Location : White Marsh, MD

Salary : $80-100k DOE

Position Overview

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure that estimates align with budgetary constraints and project goals, while also identifying potential risks and areas for cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to secure favorable terms.
• Utilize cost control principles to manage project budgets effectively.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining costs, quantities, and timelines for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates meet project goals and timelines.
• Use software tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for estimating and project management tasks.
• Review construction documents and make recommendations for cost-effective alternatives.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
