At this moment we are looking for a Health, Occupational & Process Safety Manager, based in Cartagena reporting to our HESQ Manager Latam, and his main responsibility is to develop and lead environmental, Health, Process Safety and Safety (HES) programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and Yara corporate policies, standards, procedures and objectives.

Foster awareness, involvement and accountability of HES issues to assure full integration of iniciatives with bussines activities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct activities to minimize company liability and promote sustainability. This role will generally support the production Cartagenas plant, Yotoco site, commercial, logistic and administrative Yara process with scope Colombia, working in collaboration to HESQ people responsible for different countries in Andean Region.
  • In cooperation with the line managers, develop and manage HESQ plans and procedures for application of the HESQ tools and programs, to contribute in the Management of Risk related to HESQ in the Region.
  • Identify HESQ training needs for employees and third-parties in the Region.
  • Developing HESQ strategies in cooperation with Yara Latam HESQ resources.
  • Participate in the assurance of product stewardship requirements and Chemical Compliance guidelines
  • Ensure that all accidents and incidents are registered, reported and investigated in compliance with technical standards and Global Procedures (HOPS).
  • Execute and support audits (internal, customers, key suppliers) and participate in Corporate audits if it is needed.
  • Monitoring and ensure that all operations are in compliance with HESQ Yara standards and legal requirements applicable.
  • Develop, Monitor and report on HESQ Leadership performance.
  • Provide and ensure appropriate competence and capabilities of Third Parties when handling our products in term of Safety
  • Evaluate projects, changes in equipment and process with focus on Health and Safety of the sites based on HOPS / TOPS, directives and best practices of Yara, as well as the national legal requirements.
  • Develop the Team to act as HESQ managers and leaders in their areas of responsibility, technically subsidizing tactical and strategic of the business.
  • Lead implementation of HESQ Toolkit for Yara and framework of centers of excellence for HESQ.
  • Develop and promote the prioritization and execution of HESQ projects considering the Risk and impact.
  • Manage the resources assigned in efficient way including the budget assign to HESQ.

Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, HESQ or another relevant field; preferably with Masters or other post-graduation degree in HESQ.
  • English Advanced Level
  • Competences in ISO management systems - OHSAS
  • Advanced Excel
  • Policies, procedures and tools of HESQ
  • Problem solving
  • HESQ management

Experience

Minimum 8 years of HESQ management experience.
