Partner with the business to provide oversight and advise on global talent management activities partnering with key stakeholders and other HR team members.
Lead a small team of globally dispersed HRBPs. Must have strong project management, follow up and attention to detail. To be successful, you are responsible for formulating partnerships across the HR function and the business to deliver value-added service to the business that reflect the objectives of the organization.
What you will do
- Demonstrate your leadership capability managing a small team of globally dispersed HR business partners to successfully deliver goals established in support of human resources Initiatives.
- Meet regularly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide them with strategic and operational human capital guidance.
- Provide guidance and coaching around people-related topics such as talent, performance management career development, employee engagement, change management, succession planning and organization design
- Partner closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provide advice to managers on counseling and discipling employees; and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Ensure employees follow policies and procedures. Recommend changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees both domestically and internationally, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partner with the legal department as needed.
- Proactively identify opportunities to utilize people trends to identify gaps, and positively collaborate and influence with the HR Centers of Excellence to drive people strategies, programs and policies that solve customer needs and commercial success
- Drive a high-performance culture in support of the overall Intelsat vision and contribute to development of the HR strategy and objectives.
- Serve as an advocate and coach for building diverse and inclusive teams
Your required experience / skills
- Minimum 10 years of recent, relevant experience in Human Resources that includes at least 3 years’ experience managing a team of HR Business Partners.
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Ability to adapt to software changes.
- Knowledge and first-hand experience of the global HR domain including compensation practices, organizational diagnostics, employee relations, employment law, performance management, talent and succession planning, learning and development.
- Experience supporting globally dispersed leaders with the interpersonal skills to effectively interact with people of various cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent planning, project management, coordination, and analysis capabilities with an attention to detail and accuracy.

- Brings a commercial and innovative mindset to how they develop strategy and lead teams
It would be nice if you had :
- SHRM or HRCI certification
- Degree in Human Resources, or Business related
