Full Stack Software Engineer

Join Maximus as a Full Stack Developer and play a pivotal role in advancing AI / ML and data initiatives for the Department of Defense's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).

You'll develop and prototype attribute-based access control systems, integrate with standards like Keycloak and Active Directory, and create intuitive user interfaces.

Leverage your expertise in Python, JavaScript, and technical writing to drive innovation and strategic AI adoption in compliance with DoD policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop prototypes for attribute-based access control systems.
• Integrate with relevant systems and standards including, but not limited to, Open Policy Agent, XACML, Keycloak, Active Directory, LDAP, and OpenTDF
• Prototype intuitive browser-based user interfaces that enable users to quickly understand and use the ABAC paradigm of access management.
• Write documentation describing how the ABAC prototypes can be adapted and utilized by other CDAO programs.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, and at least one more programming language (Java is preferred).
• Strong communications skills : you will be required to proactively engage fellow CDAO members both inside and outside of your team.
• Great technical writing skills.
• Prior experience implementing single sign-on, enterprise access management, and best practices in web security is preferred.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.

Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
