Job Title : Counselor / Life Coach Aspire Women’s Clinic Fort Myers
Position Type : Part-Time, In Person
Reports to : Director of Patient Resources
Job Purpose : As a Counselor at Aspire Women's Clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing emotional support, assessment, and resources to women navigating unplanned pregnancies.
Your responsibilities will include :
Warm Welcome and Nonjudgmental Attitude :
- Greet clients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Maintain a nonjudgmental attitude, ensuring that each individual feels respected and understood.
Initial Assessment :
- Meet with clients to assess their intentions and feelings regarding the unplanned pregnancy.
- Evaluate risk factors associated with both keeping the baby and potential vulnerability or risks related to abortion.
Needs Assessment :
- Identify the specific needs and challenges faced by the patient during this critical time.
- Work collaboratively with patients to understand their unique circumstances and concerns.
Resource Offerings :
- Provide information on available resources, support services, and community programs that can assist clients in making informed decisions.
- Inform of classes and other services Aspire offers.
Communication with Nursing Staff :
- Effectively communicate assessment findings and client needs to the nursing staff, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement a holistic care plan for each client.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- License / Certification in Counseling or Life Coaching
- Relevant experience in social work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to providing client-centered care.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
