About the role - Warehouse Yardperson / Laborer
The Warehouse Yardperson / Laborer provides support for bulk product delivery to blast crews and assists with on bench operations.
This entry-level position has the opportunity for advancement to become a CDL Driver, with Orica providing on-the-job training and CDL schooling.
Work schedule
- Monday thru Friday
- Home every night
- Local driving (2-3 hours)
- Early morning starts approx. 4 AM
- 8-12 hours per day approx.
- Overtime may be needed
What you will be doing
- Contribute to our safety culture by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), maintaining a clean job site, loading and unloading trucks, operating mobile equipment, and assisting with maintenance tasks
- Organize stock and products within the warehouse, maintain accurate records of stocked products, and verify incoming shipments
What you will bring
- Ability to work independently and from elevated heights
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical aptitude preferred
Accountabilities
- Must be prompt, committed to doing great work, and have reliable transportation to the job site
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50-70 pounds and meet attendance schedule consistently
Physical requirements
Work environment involves being outside in all types of weather, lifting and carrying heavy products, and frequent bending and squatting
Your qualifications
High School or equivalent preferred, one year related work experience preferred, minimum age 18
