Summary :
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursingcare for the comfort and well-being of patients. The RegisteredNurse (RN) prepares equipment and assists physician duringexaminations and treatments.
The Registered Nurse (RN) administersprescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs.
The Registered Nurse (RN) observesand maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, andprogress.
The Registered Nurse (RN) participatesas primary nurse, associate nurse, a team member or team leader inthe planning and implementing of patient care.
The Registered Nurse(RN) directs and assists in carrying out safe aseptic technique andprocedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offers leadership anddirection to all support staff within department.
Kleberg Med / Surg Telemetry / Pediatrics is a 32-bedUnit. We take care of patients from infants, to end of lifeGeriatric.
We have very few pediatric patients annually, comparedto the majority of our patients who are Cardiac and Telemetry. Wealso take care of Post-Operative and General Med / Surg patients.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to enhance, utilize, and grow yournursing skills.
Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- One-year experience in nursingpreferred.
- Current Texas State RNLicense
- CPR (American HeartAssociation)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)within 6 months of hire / transfer date
- PALS(American Heart Association) within 18 months of hire / transferdate.
- NIHSS required within 90 days ofhire / transfer date.
