Overview

Job Description I'm Paul Thompson – the founder of Brightline Painting. You should read this job post if you read this job post carefully and understand the role involves field management in drywall and paint projects. Brightline Painting is a professional services firm focused on building a market-leading home services company with a strong emphasis on coaching, systems, and leadership development.

What it's like to work with me

  • Autonomy : I'm not a micro-manager. We're all adults, we all have a job to do, and we trust each other to do our jobs.
  • Balance : Work should add to your life, not take from it. You can perform at a high level without sacrificing personal life or long hours.
  • Growth Oriented : The company is in high-growth mode with big plans. You are needed for what comes next, with future growth opportunities for all team members.
  • Training & Development : We invest in training and development to give us a strong competitive advantage and a better work / life balance.
  • Team : A tight-knit culture; if selected, you're considered part of the team that gets things done and achieves industry-leading results.
  • Performance Oriented : A culture focused on value and results, with flexible schedules and time off when appropriate.

With me so far? We'll share more during the interview process. We have exciting plans beyond what's in this post.

About Brightline Painting

Who we are : We're a professional services firm (think : accounting firm) masquerading as a paint and drywall company, building a market-leading, industry-changing home services company.

What We Believe : The trades are broken. Home builders have horror stories about contractors; contractors are overworked and underpaid; painting company employees are stressed. We believe the best business is one where everyone wins—employees love their work, are well compensated, have work-life balance, and have growth opportunities; customers receive exceptional experiences; and the company gives back to the community. This is the kind of business we are creating to impact the painting industry and the broader home improvement and construction industry. We're starting with painting, but we don't plan on ending there.

What We Do : We create exceptional customer experiences by providing Systems & Processes and a corporate-like structure to serve customers with speed, clarity and efficiency, with high attention to detail. Continuous improvement of systems is central to delivering an ever-improving customer and team experience. This includes coaching, experts, and consultants to level up our operation. We emphasize training and development, including a robust leadership training program, and ongoing coaching and support.

The Master Plan : We operate in four locations with expansion plans. The company grew over 100% last year as we focus on building a strong foundation. We will reinvest to accelerate system development, add coaches, expand our operations, and pursue other growth initiatives.
