Description
- Must be visible and / or accessible on site throughout the entire event in order to; Inspect facility from concession stands, general seating areas, ticket windows and team area.
- Communicate any security and crowd issues to Police and Security and grounds concerns to Facility Services.
- Conduct event staff meeting to ensure all staff has arrived and is prepared to work; proper dress code and positive attitude;
has everything needed to perform their duties; is prepared and informed of protocol for any weather events; is aware of any district administrators, board members, media and / or any other dignitaries in attendance.
- Prepare tickets, cash, and paperwork required to manage the event.
- Ensure all technical resources (scoreboards, microphones, game time, etc.) are working and staffed appropriately.
- Host with a positive welcoming attitude arriving teams, ensure access to the facilities, and are prepared to start the game on time.
- Greet and assist the Sport Officials; ensure they have a place to change and securely store their belongings.
- Finalize all game reports, facility and incident reports and secure cash.
- Ensure all staff has properly completed their duty and completed all relevant paperwork.
- Coordinate with all staff and departments to close out event.
- Responsible for selecting qualified staffing for each event; must ensure all event workers are valid district employees, receive their appropriate activity code for working the event as well as fulfill their duties as assigned;
must ensure all event personnel complete the district policy requirements and career management deadlines.
Responsible for picking up the appropriate number of tickets from the Department of Athletics office weekly for each week’s events and ensure each Ticket Seller has the appropriate amount of tickets for the event.
SM is responsible for recording all ticket numbers and reconciling against ticket sales on the Ticket Report.
Responsible for distributing start up cash before each event and ensuring all Ticket Sellers have appropriate cash during the event.
SM is responsible for collecting all remaining cash at the end of the event, reconciling ticket sales and securing cash in the stadium safe after recording game and ticket report.
Must prepare bank deposits and coordinate cash pick-up with courier from stadium weekly.
- Responsible for recording all required information on game report, facility report and any other required documents and submitting to the Department of Athletics within one week of event.
- Responsible for supporting the sport official to ensure they have the appropriate paperwork for payment as well as ensure they are able to perform their duties as it pertains to the sport.
SM will serve as the liaison between the sport official and any district staff, including but not limited to coaches, custodians and administrators.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Department of Athletics administrators.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus two years formal job training and three to five years direct experience and / or training
- Provide excellent, accurate, and timely customer service to patrons at all events
- Must be flexible and the ability to work extended hours as needed. Must be able to report to Athletic office during daily work hours for meetings and trainings.
- Must be able to navigate and interpret data through software and mobile applications.
- Must have reliable transportation and access to emails and text messages throughout the season.
