Food-runner
Primary duties : Delivering dishes promptly and elegantly to guests and answering guest questions about dishes.
Overview
As a food runner at MUSE, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food is delivered from the kitchen to the guests in a timely manner.
Ensuring that food is delivered accurately is an integral part of the guest’s dining experience. You will support the service team in the pursuit of one common goal;
that every guest leaves happy.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Expo in properly setting up the pass for service.
- Have a complete understanding of table numbers and positions.
- Communicating table status to expo when necessary.
- Be an expert of the cuisine of MUSE. They should know exactly what the ingredients are in every dish and the cooking methods.
- Keep the pass clean, organized and stocked with plates, ramekins, etc.
- Deliver food in a timely manner to correct table and seat numbers.
- Act as liaison between service staff and Kitchen Expeditor.
- Communicate allergies and modifications to staff and guests.
- Describe dishes as they are being delivered.
- Follow Health and Safety Standards when handling food .
- Partake in regular testing to ensure product knowledge is to standard.
- Attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills.
- Support team in resetting tables as necessary.
- Menu and wine knowledge.
- Responsible Beverage Service Training Certificate.
- Food Handler Certificate.
