Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will :
- Oversee the full-cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities
- Manage monthly close activity including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analysis of general ledger activity and journal entries
- Perform balance sheet analysis; including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivables and accrued expenses
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Calculate broker / dealer clients’ regulatory net capital
- Assist with preparation of regulatory filings for broker / dealers
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
- Support clients with annual audit and regulatory exams
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Bachelor's and / or Master's Degree in Accounting
- Willingness and ability to obtain Series 27 FinOp license and registration with FINRA within 1 year of hire.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP Desired Skills :
- CPA license
- CPA license
- FINRA Series 27 FinOp license
- Accounting background in the Financial Services industry
- Self-starter with reliable follow-through
- Good communication skills
