About The Position
Job Title : Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Specialty : Urgent Care Job Duration : 11 Months Shift : Day 12 5x8 Hour Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours per Week Experience : Minimum years of experience not specified License : Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner Certifications : - Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers - Other certifications as required (e.
g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP) Must-Have : - Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write) Job Description : Practice within scope of licensure as defined in national certification and education standards.
- Work dependent upon and under the supervision of a supervising physician.- Perform patient assessments to obtain comprehensive clinical information and medical symptoms.
- Order tests and exams to gather additional information needed to ensure proper patient care.- Diagnose patient needs and determine an appropriate plan of care based on assessments.
- Interpret patient care tests and exams to guide and provide optimal treatment.- Oversee the treatment of patients and ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
- Ensure advanced specialty knowledge is used for appropriate, effective, and cost-efficient care.- Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and / or procedural care as defined by the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of clinical care.- Code and bill in accordance with established protocol and procedure.
- Conduct educational sessions to increase knowledge of patients, families, and staff.- Train other staff members in areas of clinical expertise.
- Stay updated on current healthcare practices and participate in continuing medical education.- Coordinate and collaborate on patient care efforts with other providers.
- Communicate clinical information effectively to other providers involved in patient care.- Participate in research and evidence-based practice to promote quality patient care.
- Support professional development through research processes.
