Mission Solutions is looking for a motivated software tester to join our exceptional team delivering innovative and unique software solutions on mobile platforms.
The position will supports both longer-term development efforts and frequent rapid turnaround quick-reaction-capability (QRC) releases in response to customer mission needs.
This position will support both of these types of releases and is responsible for planning and conducting software testing in both internal integration testing and final factory acceptance testing witnessed by customers.
Specific duties include but are not limited to :
1. Performing testing to ensure products meet documented requirements.
2. Generating or updating appropriate testing procedures as new products are created or existing products evolve.
3. Evaluating requirements, reviewing design material, and interfacing with software developers to thoroughly understand products being developed in order to comprehensively verify requirements and validate fitness for use by customers.
4. Troubleshooting potential defects to characterize anomalous behavior.
5. Develop professional test reports and support the creation of milestone documentation and other related artifacts as they relate to quality control activities.
6. Support program management by briefing testing results to customers, as needed.
7. Support Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) testing in a fast-paced operational setting.
8. Support the collection and decomposition of testable requirements.
9. Assist customers in understanding proper usage of developed products.
10. Support the development of user guides.
Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
- Experience writing detailed software testing procedures and documenting test results
- Experience in decomposing low-level requirements in support of generating test documentation
- Experience mapping test procedures to specific low-level requirements
- Experience testing applications on mobile devices
- Experience conducting testing with customers and / or end users
- Experience performing automated software testing
- Ability to work independently and lead test efforts to achieve program milestones
