Mail Program Manager
As a Program Manager overseeing the mail operations of our facility, you will be responsible for managing the efficient and effective processing and distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail.
Leading a team of 40 direct reports, you will ensure that all mail operations are conducted in a timely, secure, and accurate manner.
This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Information :
- Hours : First shift, 6 : 00am 2 : 30pm
- Target Salary : $75-80k annually
- Days : Monday through Friday
- Location : Washington, DC (on-site)

- A Security Clearance will be required before starting in this role, having a current security clearance is helpful but not required.
The ability to get a security clearance is required.
Responsibilities :
- Manage, direct, and execute all elements of the contract (On-site)
- Authority over and responsibility for contractor personnel (about 40 employees / direct reports)
- Coordinate with leadership for daily and overall program objectives and priorities
- Appoint an alternate in absence
- Notify Contracting Officer of any proposed substitutions
Qualifications :
- Demonstrated experience managing a similar-sized operational workforce
- Experience with government contracting and compliance
- Proven ability to develop and implement SOPs
- Ability to secure and maintain secret clearances
- Experience in data management and reporting using barcoding and tracking systems
Preferred Experience :
- 5+ years project / program management experience
- Mail handling, sorting experience
- Experience in managing CBRNE programs
- Experience working on federal contracts
- Ability to review, analyze and provide recommendations for policy and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Experience with writing corrective action reports
- Bachelors Degree
- PMP Certification
- Active Secret Clearance
