- Job Type : Full-time
- Pay : $75,000 / annual
- Schedule : Varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Job Overview :
The AGM oversees the hotel front office operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management. This role supports the General Manager, coordinates with various departments, and handles guest inquiries, reservations, and billing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guest Services :
- Always ensure outstanding customer care.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
- Respond to guest inquiries, reservations, and concerns both in-person and via telephone.
- Front Office Management :
- Supervise and train front office team members.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Allocate rooms and handle special requests.
- Control cash transactions and maintain responsibility for personal bank.
- Operational Support :
- Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently to maintain high satisfaction.
- Administration :
- Ensure hotel charges are accurately processed and invoices are verified.
- Cross-check billing instructions and update billing as needed.
- Maintain updated front office and hotel logbooks.
- Interdepartmental Coordination :
- Build strong relationships with housekeeping, reservations, and other departments.
- Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
- Assist all departments during high volume periods.
- Safety and Compliance :
- Follow guest check-in and security procedures.
- Report suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD.
- Ensure compliance with brand, city, and state regulations.
- Leadership :
- Act as a role model and inspire the front office team.
- Take responsibility in the absence of the General Manager.
- Perform any other tasks / duties as assigned by the manager / supervisor.
Qualifications :
- Education / Experience : Associate degree or equivalent; one- two-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification : Alcohol awareness certification; Assistant General Manager and / or other certification as required by the franchise.
- Skills : Strong leadership, communication, attention to detail, planning, organizational ability, customer service, computer skills, and accounting knowledge.
- Experience with Opera Cloud strongly preferred. Other system experience with Synxis, OTA reservation systems, specifically Expedia, Revinate guest feedback platform and ADP.
Working Conditions :
