GENERAL DESCRIPTION

To be the ideal candidate, you are a designer and illustrator with past employment experience who excels at managing multiple projects and problem solving and enjoys collaborating with others and presenting compelling ideas to clients.

You're armed with a portfolio of design work that demonstrates design skills in packaging, branding, and product aesthetics.

You are self-reliant and driven, flexible and kind. As a designer you have an eye for balance, pattern, color and page layout.

First-hand knowledge of print pattern, consumer goods branding, packaging, product aesthetics and consumer purchase intent is a plus.

You will be tested with fierce deadlines and demanding clients.

Colleagues describe you as an excellent designer who takes and responds positively to feedback while also bringing your own unique point of view to the table.

You are independent, highly organized, work with a sense of urgency, and possess a can-do attitude.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Hands-on designer from concept to completion
• Researching trend and consumer behaviors; auditing packs, products and market; developing and designing to a design point of view based on findings
• Interpret and act on direction from art director, creative director, and client
• Manage and be accountable for own design time to meet deadlines
• Create design solutions including project summaries, documents for client presentations
• Present designs and articulate design rationale based on objectives and design thinking process

REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Excels in design software skills - Adobe Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop
• Excels in creating beautiful page layouts and presentations
• Ability to work efficiently and deliver great design under pressure
• Effective client facing presentation in groups and / or individually
• Accountable for personal time management
• Skilled in Microsoft Applications
• Self-sufficient and autonomous in discovering answers and solving problems
