Integrated Biosciences (integratedbiosciences.com) combines synthetic biology and machine learning to tackle age-related diseases.

We are a team of bioengineers from Harvard, MIT, and UC Santa Barbara that is using light to control biology and machine learning to exploit chemistry.

As a new and early-stage startup, we are risk-takers and heavily bet that the future lies at the intersection of synthetic biology and machine learning for healthy aging.

We are looking for a research associate to join our core team and assist with key experiments for our growth. Our research associates will have the unique opportunity to be among the first hires of a groundbreaking startup and make significant contributions to curing age-related diseases.

This role will be located at Redwood LIFE in Redwood City, CA, a modern and stunning life sciences complex in the Bay Area.

Candidates should be able to start as soon as possible.

Requirements :

  • Detail-oriented with experience working with cell cultures and chemicals in a laboratory
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm in cellular and molecular biology or bioengineering
  • Excellent execution of planned experiments, and creativity to plan new experiments
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small (5 to 8 person) team
  • Interest in the business of biotech, especially in regards to therapeutics and drug discovery

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with executing key experiments involving cell cultures and drug development
  • Design follow-up experiments and troubleshoot results
  • Communicate scientific results clearly and report directly to team members and the CEO

Nice to have :

  • Experience with chemical biology and drug discovery
  • Experience with immunofluorescence and high-content imaging
  • Experience with high-throughput chemical screening
  • Experience with human cell line cloning and engineering
  • Experience with rodent (mouse) handling
