Shift : 12 Hours D / E / N (Days, Evenings, Nights); 36 hours per week; Rotating shifts between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, & 7p-7a
Guaranteed Hours :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Nursing
License : Active RN license
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred; TNCC strongly preferred
Must-Have :
General ED nursing skills, including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
Job Description :
- Work in a 65-bed Emergency Department structured in a pod-based manner, including a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area
- Ensure effective management of clinician to patient ratio of 1 : 4
- Serve a diverse patient population with a census of approximately 230 visits per day
- Utilize EPIC ASAP EMR system for charting
- Floating among units is required when necessary
- Engage in rotating shifts, primarily for day rotation; however, the night position remains fixed
- Weekend work is required every other weekend
