Job Title : Automation Engineer II (Application Packager)

Location : Hybrid / Buffalo NY (onsite 3 days aweek)

Rate : $6570 / hr. onW2

NOTE FROMMANAGER :

This role offers a hybrid work schedule;offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week whileproviding the opportunity for inperson collaboration at our BuffaloNY Tech Hub.

Education and ExperienceRequired :

• 5 years relevantexperience with Windows environment (Mac OS a plus)
• Experience with software automation techniques scriptingand operating systems.
• A good workingknowledge of how applications interact with the OperatingSystem.
• Strong collaboration with technologypartners.
• A team player mindset with anability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fastpacedenvironment.
• Strong ability to workindependently as well as within a team environment.
• Familiar with enterprise desktop solutions using industrystandard tools for example Microsoft SCCM / Intune JAMF Pro orother applicable products.
• Demonstrated soundattention to detail.
• Ability to perform remotetroubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
• Excellent problemsolving and multitaskingskills

Education and ExperiencePreferred :

• Experiencemanaging and implementing projects of a medium to largescale.
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
• Experience scripting withPowerShell
• 5 years in a medium to largeenterprise IT environment

The idealcandidate will bring an understanding of basic Software Automationprocesses and techniques as well as an ability to facilitateeffective communication and collaboration with other internaltechnical teams.

Knowledge of the following automaton tools andOperating Systems are mandatory : Microsoft SCCM as it pertains tosoftware delivery and monitoring Installshield PowershellPSAppDeploy Toolkit (PSADT) Microsoft Windows 10 & Windows 11as well as Microsoft Windows Server.

Other tools such as Intune andVB Script are highly beneficial. Knowledge of MAC OS is aplus.

Cool thingsyou will be directly involved with :

• Assisting the Packaging Team with developing processes aswe move towards Microsoft Intune.
• Helping tocreate a remediation process for applicationvulnerabilities.
• Working to help furtherautomate the Packaging processes.
• Opportunityto help out with packaging for our MAC OS environment.

PrimaryResponsibilities :

• MonitorJira board for packaging requests.
• Evaluatethe requirements of the packaging request to make sure they arecomplete.
• Smoke test the application andevaluate the best method for packaging.
• Complete packaging process by automating the installationincluding testing through our SCCM delivery tool to prepare theapplication for UAT.
• Provide technicalassistance to the Desktop Engineering Team on application packagingand delivery.
• Provide highlevel support forSCCM Operations to assist them with failed deployments orinstallations.
• Routine collaboration withother internal technical teams responsible for the configurationsecurity maintenance and support of the DesktopEnvironment.
• Produce and maintain packagingstandards knowledge base operating procedures guidelines and systemdocumentation.
• Build automation into dailyprocesses to improve the ease of doing business.
• Perform moderate to complex system administration tasksacross supported technology.
