About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Technician Job Specialty : Surgical Services - Sterile Processing in the Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour evenings, Monday-Friday, 15 : 00-23 : 30, with the possibility of one weekend on call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience License : Not required Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA Must-Have : Immediate availability for start Job Description : Participate actively in the sterile processing and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Maintain high standards of sterilization and infection control practices.- Work as part of a team to ensure the operating room is equipped with the necessary sterile instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sterilization protocols and guidelines.- Utilize EPIC charting system to document procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively to meet demands.- Provide on-call support during weekends as needed.
- Participate in orientation and training to familiarize with hospital protocols and procedures. This position requires a candidate who can begin working immediately to backfill an urgent need, emphasizing reliably high performance in sterile processing and safety protocols.
