The Role :
The postholder will be a respected senior leader working within the PMO & Project Controls of Excellence (CoE) community.
The role will be the interface between CoE and the Americas Leadership overseeing the growth of the Mace Business across United States of America, Canada and LATAM.
The candidate will combine this accountability with working on assignments and will be supported by PMO & Project Controls Sponsors within the respective Americas Market.
You will work with the Consult CoE lead to deliver the Consult Plan & agreed Global CoE framework across the Americas Hub building on our success with winning the Hudson Tunnel in New York, Metrolinx Go Expansion and Subways Projects and delivery Global PMO for clients such as JPMC.

Your responsibilities will include :
- Lead of the development of the Mace Program Management Office and Project Control discipline across the Americas market building on the unprecedented growth of Mace Consult in the last ten years globally.
- Build an Americas presence in the regions and mature the PMO and Project Controls offering embedding Schedule & Risk Management, Digital & IT Services aligning to specific governance and regional requirements.
- Identify and scope Regional Hub CoE requirements & lead the delivery of the CoE plan for the Hub (as agreed with CoE lead).
- Sit on Hub Board & manage relationships with senior stakeholders (internal & external) across the Regional Hub.
- Lead & deploy the Mace Way standards, and processes across the Regional Hub maturing the Americas requirements
- Assure the quality of the services we are providing across the Americas, redefining our standards and processes through an audit regime across the specific regions.
- Build a Regional Community to feed into the Hub and Consult Centre of Excellence, bringing the Community together to learn, connect and capture feedback & lessons learnt.
- Keep up to date with innovations in the service line, competitor and partner activity, feeding back to the CoE.
- Identify, coach and mentor talent, supporting professional development and global mobility.
- Build capability across the Americas, assuring quality of training provision and as appropriate deliver training programmes.
- Identify leads and opportunities, supporting the Americas in winning work and bidding.
- Involvement in Consult CoE activities and service development, mobilising regional volunteers
You’ll Need to Have :
- MBA or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management (or PMP), Engineering or a related field.
- Advisory mentality and able to manage complex governance arrangement
- Mastery in delivery of relevant service
- In depth knowledge of PMO and Program procedures by role
- Awareness of contract & commercial procedures and Business P&L
- Excellent communication (written, verbal & presentational) skills, alongside the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful / actionable insights
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Up to date on key tools available in the market in the service delivery arena.
- Achieved Membership / Fellow / Certified Fellow status with one or more professional institutions
- Demonstratable experience leading a PMO and / or Program Controls function previously.
- Held a key strategic role in a major Project or Program
- Experience across several market sectors
- Up to date on key digital tools available in the market and current innovative trends in the service delivery arena.
- External networking, collaboration & business development skills. May represent Mace on professional institution / industry wide committees / boards
