Overview
A busy family in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable nanny to care for their 3-year-old.
The nanny must be local to Los Angeles, as the position will be live-in while on duty, but will not have living accommodations provided for the off-duty weekends.
There will be some domestic and international travel, especially during the summer, of up to 2-4 weeks. The primary schedule will be Monday-Friday 730am-730pm.
The nanny will not be responsible for the child overnight but should expect one later night a week when the parents are out.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare of an active and social preschooler
- Providing a warm and loving environment while maintaining respectful boundaries and promoting independence.
- Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
- Transportation to school, local playgrounds, activities, and playdates using the provided nanny car
- Light housekeeping (child-related tidying and organizing) while the child is at school during the mornings or napping
- Cooking meals for the child packing school lunches and snacks cooking
Qualifications
- Warm, patient, and flexible personality that thrives in a busy household
- Team player and happy to work with other household staff
- Professional / career nanny who knows how to maintain boundaries and is able to navigate being in a live-in role
- Legal to work in the US
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- A valid passport and able to travel internationally without restrictions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willing to get a yearly Covid booster
- TrustLine certified, or willing to certify ASAP
- Confident swimmer
- Comfortable with dogs
Salary and Benefits
$40-45 per hour plus applicable overtime
