JOB TITLE : Clinical Implementation Analyst III

SUPERVISION RECEIVED :

Director, Ambulatory Applications Optimization Team

JOB SUMMARY :

This role will implement our PM and EHR software, optimize business workflow, vendor interaction, application interfaces, issue resolution, system data management, reporting, and additional tasks as needed.

The position combines system support and business system analysis, possibly user training. It covers applications ranging from EMR / EHR, Practice Management / Patient Accounting, Supply / Materials Management, Provider Credentialing, managed Care Contracts, and any supporting applications / interfaces needed for the systems within ASCs, Anesthesia, and Physician Clinic practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conduct onsite consultations to perform pre-implementation assessments and provide hands-on support and training tailored to the customer's requirements.
  • Assess workflows to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Analyze software utilization and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of various products and product suites.
  • Serve as a customer go-to resource, providing in-depth information and insights on all applications.
  • Create training materials, documentation, and resources to support client learning and utilization.
  • Gather feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to continually enhance training programs and resources.
  • Collaborates with the Implementation. Clinical Informatics, Interoperability, and Support / Build teams to provide high-quality and timely support.
  • Ensure build tasks are completed on schedule to support internal and external timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to troubleshoot application issues. Troubleshoot errors within the system identified by end users and resolve them within application configuration or work with the application developer (vendor or in-house) to determine if it is a custom interface.
  • Ability to configure the system to support application and business workflow to meet business / operational needs.
  • Ability to resolve support tickets and keep IT ticket tracking applications updated.
  • Ability to evaluate / modify / build templates within the business application.
  • Build strategic partnerships with vendors of applications supported.
  • Working knowledge of the complete SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including analysis, design, configuration, and testing of applications.
  • Test and deploy application configurations and solutions from development to production environments.
  • Experience creating and maintaining business requirements, technical documentation, test plans, and deployment plans.
  • Assist users in the design / modification of reports to meet business needs.

Basic Surgery Partners Performance Criteria :

  • Demonstrates Surgery Partners and Code of Conduct and adheres to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of the department with regular, reliable attendance.
  • Employee maintains current licenses and certifications required for the position.
  • Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA, and other federal / state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
  • Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
  • Is knowledgeable of compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste, and abuse.

Bring any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; two to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

RN strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of implementation experience. HST applications are strongly preferred.
  • Optional applications - AdvantX, NextGen, Athena, Meditech, etc., preferred.
  • Experience with multiple EHR / ERM applications is helpful.
  • Work experience in an ASC or clinic environment is strongly preferred.
  • Work experience in an IT ticket system to track application issues is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

  • Proficient with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to promote the customer's experience.
  • Experience with clinical informatics rounds to optimize systems and achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to problem solve with good judgment and attention to detail.
  • Experience with using data to drive adoption and project outcomes.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Professional delivery with skilled business acumen to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Has attained prior healthcare experience with hospitals, surgery centers, or physician offices.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Maintains regular attendance habits, follows directions, takes initiative
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish the task
  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet the critical functions of the role (estimated up to 50%)
