Job Summary : As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems.

This includes but is not limited to cabling, security systems, audio / visual systems, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio / visual systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
  • Test and inspect installed systems to ensure they meet manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage work.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
