Apiary Closing Manager Position
Job Description
Apiary Fine Catering & Events is the most exclusive venues in Lexington, KY. We place a high emphasis on creating magical and unique experiences for all guests.
From private events and weddings to our invitation only private culinary club. Your responsibilities include managing staff during an event to ensure the event timeline, service and breakdown are a success.
Communicating details about the event in addition to staff performance to upper management is required. Filling out nightly paperwork in a detailed and organized fashion.
Qualifications
- Restaurant and or event venue experience required.
- Management experience of event staff
- Comfortable learning in a fast pace and changing environments.
- Strong leadership skills
- Exceptional customer relationship skills both with internal staff and guests
- Exceptional communications skills, not limited to but including written, interpersonal and public speaking.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of initiative
- Schedule commitment on nights and weekends required.
- Punctual for every shift.
- Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Manage event staff to accomplish event timelines, on the job training, and assist in employee development.
- Coordinating with day of coordinators to ensure event success.
- Working in multiple positions during a shift to ensure event success.
- Ability to identify staff who are excelling or need improvement and communicating that to upper management.
