Overview

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's facilities and equipment.

They are responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairing machinery, and addressing building maintenance needs to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Performing maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, and other minor repairs.
  • Repairing machinery, equipment, or electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Following maintenance schedules to ensure timely upkeep of facilities and equipment.
  • Operating various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Addressing building maintenance issues, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems.
  • Assisting in the setup and installation of new machinery or equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean workplace.
  • Documenting maintenance and repair activities for record-keeping purposes.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues effectively.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
