VP, Finance

The Divisional Finance organization at SPE provides business support and partnership for all finance related matters for their group(s), primarily ensuring that strong financial discipline and analysis is in place to support the decision making across each division and SPE towards achieving its goals and objectives.

Reporting to the Divisional CFO of Corporate & Central Functions, the VP of Finance is accountable for the financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the Corporate Functions and Centrally-Held costs.

The role is based in Culver City and has oversight over a team of FP&A members.

The successful candidate for the role will have a strong track record of financial reporting and analysis, process improvement, interaction with senior operational and financial management, and excellent critical thinking, analytical, collaboration, presentation, & communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the annual Budget, MRP, and Forecast processes with primary focus on providing financial analysis and insights
• Track performance relative to budgets and forecasts, review actual results and concisely explain variances against budgets and forecasts based on commercial and operating drivers
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly / quarterly financial results presentations that provide important insights and participate in executive review meetings
• Develop and optimize reports that provide actionable insight into the levers of the business
• Support management with ad hoc financial, market, and trend analyses to prioritize strategic initiatives or investment decisions
• Provide day-to-day business & financial partnership to the following departments
• Divisional Finance
• Finance Transformation & Enablement
• Develop and manage team members including establishing priorities, setting objectives, and providing guidance and feedback
• Manage expenses and key business metrics across SPE's centrally-held costs (e.g., Fringe costs, long-term executive compensation, etc.)
• Develop and streamline FP&A processes to mitigate risk and find value within the business

Requirements :

We are looking for an exceptional individual with strong intellectual, critical thinking, decision making, team leadership, humility, honesty and analytical and financial skills.

Ideally you will have spent a portion of your career in a financial role supporting Corporate or centralized-support departments.

More specifically, you should meet many, if not all of the following requirements :

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience including corporate finance, consulting, or similar analytical role
• 5+ years of management experience, including managing, developing and leading a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance; Master's degree and / or MBA preferred
• Exceptional financial modeling skills in Excel, including the ability to drive process optimization using Excel
• Intermediate to advanced skills in SAP

The anticipated base salary for this position is $200,000 - $264,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and / or comprehensive benefits.

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
