Iconica is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer Intern to join our team for summer 2025! We’re redefining the way design and construction are approached, with a collaborative mindset that blends architecture, engineering, and construction under one roof.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Design Engineers, with a primary focus on electrical system design.
This includes designing lighting systems, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security and access control, and communication systems for building-related projects.
Your experience will include :
- Performing design calculations and ensuring code compliance.
- Developing schematic designs, design development, and construction drawings.
- Preparing detailed specifications.
- Assisting in coordinating designs with other disciplines and architects.
- Conducting site inspections and monitoring field construction.
- Reviewing shop drawings.
Qualified candidates will have the following :
- Enrollment in an Architectural or Electrical Engineering program.
- Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
- Familiarity with Revit or BIM360 (preferred).
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- High initiative and passion for learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
