Job responsibilities for LicensedPractical Nurses (LPNs) include and are not limited to :
- Assisting CNAs inperforming ADL and routine care.
- Conducting resident / patient treatments.
- Administering medication in accordance withphysician orders and Plan ofCare.
- Submitting pharmacy orders.
- Accurately documenting and recording allinformation.
- Giving injections of medication asprescribed.
- Observing resident health to communicatecurrent condition to RNs Supervisors and Physicians.
- Takingvital signs including blood pressure temperature andweight.
- Basic care including wound cleaning andbandaging.
- Managing IVs starting IV drips.
- Monitoring fluid / food intake and output.
- Observingand reporting resident accidents incidents and the presence of skinbreakdowns.
- Assisting as directed in the admissionsprocess.
