Mental Health Professionals and SMARTS Recovery, by VABODE, provides mental health and addiction recovery services to individuals and families throughout the state of Virginia, for over 30-years.

We share in the rich heritage of our non-profit organization, Christian Soldiers Charities and Missions, and strive to help those affected the most by mental health, resulting in poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, emotional and behavioral needs.

The mission of our services continues to be to demonstrate the Love of God at the forefront of our behavioral health, human services, outreach, and evangelism efforts.

We are seeking a licensed or licensed-eligible (LPC, LSATP, or LCSW) professional to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY :

The primary responsibilities are :

1. Clinical Supervision of QMHP-C performing in-home services and clinical supervision of QMHP-A providing community mental health services

2. Conducting psychotherapy / family sessions for all IIH, MHSS, and SAIOP participants with the priority being IIH children.

3. Complete initial community mental health and ASAM assessments

4. May also provide case management or therapy as needed.

5.. Screening referral calls.

6. Request referral information (if from the hospital) and / or fill out a referral statement with pertinent information.

7. Check Medicaid Status on Medicaid and Magellan Websites. (Magellan has a recent address, which is an important piece of information).

Note : which type of insurance do they have to determine the expected stay.

8. Completes initial authorization(s) as outlined by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS).

9. Complete Initial ISP before the end of the assessment interview with the client.

10. Completes intake notes on all clients assessed for substance abuse services.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals in psychology, social work, or human services field.

This documentation will be due upon accepting the position.
