Summary
The JHF Donor Relations Coordinator helps support a wide range of development department activities, which includes but is not limited to properly acknowledging and stewarding gifts received by the Foundation.
In addition, the Coordinator is also responsible for providing administrative support to Development team efforts. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly around confidential management decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively implements an efficient, timely gift acknowledgment process, thanking donors consistently and meaningfully via various media.
- Coordinates mailing birthday cards, sympathy cards, and holiday cards to key donors and log appropriately in our donor database.
- Develops donor communication messaging based on the deliverables of the stewardship matrix.
- Manages a portfolio of 10 donors to facilitate high-touch, comprehensive, personalized stewardship strategies and engagement for top donors and prospects.
- Supports the efforts to engage donors creatively, consistently, and appropriately.
- Creates presentations and proposals for the development team.
- Serves as a back up to the Director of Concierge Services in assisting donors with scheduling medical appointments.
- In conjunction with Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, plans and executes events designed as donor stewardship.
- Serves as a good colleague, working cooperatively with all development officers to contribute to the successful cultivation of donors for the Foundation.
- Participates in other Development Department and Foundation activities as needed.
- Provides administrative support to Jackson Health Foundation Team as needed.
Experience
Generally requires a minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in a nonprofit environment with significant administrative and project management roles, preferably in fundraising.
Candidates should have a solid background in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Raiser's Edge.
Education
Bachelor's degree is required.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
