The Registered Nurse (RN) providesprofessional nursing care for the comfort and well-being ofpatients. The Registered Nurse (RN) prepares equipment and assistsphysician during examinations and treatments.
The Registered Nurse(RN) administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleanswounds, and monitors patient vital signs.
The Registered Nurse (RN)observes and maintains records on patient care, condition,reaction, and progress.
The Registered Nurse(RN) participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, a team memberor team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.
The Registered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safeaseptic technique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offersleadership and direction to all support staff withindepartment.
In our Medical Surgical Telemetryunits, we see a variety of medical and post-op surgical patients.We have the capacity to remotely monitor our patient’s telemetrystatus.
For that reason, all of our Registered Nurses receivetelemetry training and are ACLS certified. Our unit is fast-pacedand there is always an opportunity to learn about new diseaseprocesses.
This unit will provide you with the fundamental basicsthat are essential for any nurse when applying your knowledge inthe acute care setting.

Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursingcare.
- One-year experience in nursingpreferred.
- Current Texas State RNLicense
- CPR (American HeartAssociation)
- ACLS required within 6 months ofhire / transfer date
