Position Overview :

Care.com is seeking a Creative Director for our Brand and Creative Services team. Our team is on a mission to reinvent the Care brand, building a deeply purpose-driven and human-centered brand that is an integral part of people's lives, and elevating the quality and consistency of our creative work to maximize emotional impact and deliver quantifiable business results.

We are looking for a passionate, empathetic, and visionary leader to guide our brand voice, tone, look, and feel across multiple fronts - from shaping the long-term creative vision and future of the brand to launching tentpole brand moments, to finessing micro everyday executions that drive conversion.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record of cultivating creative excellence amongst both internal teams and external agencies and facilitating the creation of best-in-class marketing and advertising work.

What You'll Do :

Provide strong leadership to the creative team : connect dots, provide mentorship, and inspire innovation with a team of in-house creative professionals, including graphic designers, video producers, and copywriters.

Additionally, drive strong partnerships with external agencies.

Raise the bar of creative excellence. Ensure all creative work meets high standards of quality, creativity, and brand consistency.

Elevate the creative team and take our brand expression to the next level.

  • Drive executive alignment on our brand and creative direction. Play a leading role in the evolution of the Care brand across all touchpoints, including ensuring strong partnership with Product Design to build a cohesive experience across the entire customer experience.
  • Oversee the development and execution of creative projects and integrated campaigns across multiple channels (TV, video, social, email, direct mail, print, events, etc.

audiences (care seekers, care providers, businesses), verticals (child care, senior care, pet care, house care, etc.) and business models (consumer, enterprise).

  • Utilize consumer insights and market data to inform decisions and refine creative execution.
  • Maximize impact on key business KPIs - from maximizing brand health to optimizing for performance marketing effectiveness.

Who You Are :

  • Strong leader and mentor who can build strong teams. Able to have high expectations and high empathy simultaneously. Track record of building a strong culture of creative excellence and innovation.
  • Player-coach who is willing to roll up their sleeves as needed and dive into creative details and execution. Agile problem-solver who can prioritize and knows to think big and when to flex towards scrappy and practical solutions.
  • Proven experience telling complex, human-centered stories. Strong passion for the mission and ability to relate to our customers (families, caregivers, employers, businesses, etc.).
  • Very strong eye for design and aesthetics. Strong sensitivity to nuances in voice, tone, and messaging. A clear vision for what great creative work looks and feels like.
  • Prior experience with both brand marketing campaigns and performance-driven advertising across multiple channels (TV, video, social, email, direct mail, print, etc.).
  • Ability to flex across different business models (consumer, enterprise) and adapt to complexity.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and drive influence among cross-functional partners.

Required Skills :

  • 10+ years of creative or design leadership experience. Agency experience is strongly preferred. Portfolio submission is required.
  • Consumer marketing experience is preferred, especially for a well-known, beloved consumer brand; additional enterprise marketing experience is a bonus.
  • Experience developing highly effective creative work across multiple formats / channels (TV, video, social, email, direct mail, print, events / tradeshows, etc.

and marketing objectives (from brand-building to conversion optimization).

  • Experience developing and evolving brand guidelines and brand expression.
  • Direct experience managing and leading internal creative teams to deliver excellent creative work, while also managing external creative agencies.

Salary Range : $136,000-$197,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.

The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.

In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
