Sr. Manager of Accounting Responsibilities :
- Oversee and coordinate the month-end close process within the Accounting team.
- Supervise monthly debt reconciliation and manage accounting aspects related to debt portfolio.
- Monitor and review monthly derivative activities and their corresponding accounting entries.
- Evaluate month-end close procedures for selected account reconciliations handled by different members of the Accounting team, covering corporate assets and liabilities.
- Assess and approve journal entries.
- Lead the review of schedules that support various derivative journal entries and disclosures in SEC filings.
- Participate in gathering data and reviewing schedules that support SEC financial reporting, including financial statements and footnotes.
- Mentor and guide members of the Accounting team to foster growth and achieve departmental goals.
- Engage in special projects, including conducting accounting research and formally documenting management's conclusions.
- Regularly assist Accounting Management in reviewing schedules that support public filings.
- Collaborate frequently with external auditors to ensure compliance with SEC and SOX requirements.
Requirements :
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Extensive experience in public accounting or within a publicly traded company.
- Demonstrated success in managing and coordinating processes efficiently within an accounting team.
- Strong expertise in debt accounting principles and practices..
- Deep knowledge of derivative accounting standards and regulations..
- Comprehensive understanding of SEC reporting requirements, particularly related to debt and derivative disclosures.
- Solid grasp of U.S. GAAP and its application in complex accounting transactions.
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex accounting concepts.
- Proven leadership skills in supervising and nurturing team members to maximize their growth and achieve departmental goals.
- Track record of creating a collaborative and supportive team environment while maintaining high-performance standards and accountability. Pay Rate :
