Essential duties and responsibilities for Staff Accountant include :
- Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with month and year-end close process
- Join Venture accounting and preparation of Joint Venture financial statements
- Assist with preparing and assembling information for interim and year-end audits
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
- Other general accounting duties as assigned
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our downtown Chicago office and 2 days working remotely from home.
Qualifications
This position requires :
- BS or MS in Accounting
- CPA candidacy desirable but not required
- 1-2 years accounting experience
- Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and sound business judgment
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Deltek CostPoint experience a plus
