Job Title : Senior Accountant

Compensation : $75,000-$100,000 Salary

This position does require you to be in office at least 3 days / week at our Headquarters located in Omaha, NE.

The Job :

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial reporting tasks supporting Buildertrend's core subscription service.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial results. You will also assist with implementing process improvements for month-end close and controls around accounting systems.

Month-end close activities will entail preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and income statement flux analysis.

What You Will Do :

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Review new contracts and product offerings to assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos over revenue recognition
• Assist in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes that deliver a timely and accurate close
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce manual effort
• Assist in providing support for the external audit
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A and Billing Teams and other members of the accounting team
• Ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Who You Are and What You Need :

• 4+ years relevant experience; a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience is preferred
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive outcomes
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• CPA or similar designation preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred but not required
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
• Detail oriented with ability to problem solve and apply analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills, with interest and aptitude to work with large amounts of data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees across various departments within the company
