Our team is growing at The RealReal, and we’re seeking experienced salespeople to help drive new consignment business. The Luxury Consignment Executive (LCE) is a key Outside Sales position and drives both new and repeat business by acquiring consigned items from clients within an assigned territory.

What You Get To Do Everyday

  • Work to convert marketing generated leads into new clients, and self-generate new business by prospecting new and activating lapsed leads
  • Connect with new and established clients to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and in-home appointments
  • Leverage strong client relationships to gain referrals for new business
  • Procure consigned goods from clients and ship to ecommerce centers on their behalf
  • Outreach daily to leads and clients
  • Provide an outstanding client experience
  • Review contract with clients
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury, while utilizing internal tools and resources
  • Partner with Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve client issues or concerns
  • Regularly spend more than 70% in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

What You Bring To The Role

  • 3+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record of success in performance-based sales roles
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility with clients
  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and occasionally work off-hours as required by clientele
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results
  • Stellar communication skills both written and verbal; Ability to effectively interface with sophisticated clientele and adapt communication style to suit the target audience
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dedicated, and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with technological tools including Salesforce or a CRM of similar caliber and G-suite
  • Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration
  • A solutions-focused mentality with a growth mindset
  • Adaptability and openness to change
  • Highly coachable with an eagerness to learn
  • Must live and regularly meet with clients in person anywhere within assigned territory
  • A current, valid driver's license (except in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Chicago markets)
  • Car insurance that meets or exceeds local requirements
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to travel more than 70% within designated market
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience converting leads to close new business
  • Previous experience selling luxury goods and / or services
  • Existing book of clients
  • Ability to discuss and advise customers on general fashion trends and developments in the luxury market

Compensation, Benefits, + Perks

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission
  • $2,000 / month commission - top performers earning over $5,000 / month

The expected salary range for this role is $60,000.00-$65,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.

Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.

We make selling effortless with free virtual appointments, in-home pickup, drop-off and direct shipping. We do all of the work for consignors, including authenticating, using AI and machine learning to determine optimal pricing, photographing and listing their items, as well as handling shipping and customer service.

At our 13 retail locations, including our twelve shoppable stores, customers can sell, meet with our experts and receive free valuations.
