Planner
Responsible for organizing and maintaining the overall production schedule plan to support the division & sales objectives.
This position requires knowledge of production processing, planning, scheduling, and analyzing related data. The Planning Clerk is responsible for assisting in planning, releasing, monitoring, rescheduling, updating and closure of work orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Create and release Job Orders to the shop floor, including all elements of the job package.
- Print and assemble the job packet consisting of the job header, routers, pick lists, travelers and any additional documentation needed for shop floor employees.
- Create and maintain the master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
- Receive and fulfill Transfer Orders from our Corporate and Parts Department sites.
- Effectively communicate with Production and Shipping Dept to ensure product is shipped in a timely manner.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Conduct daily progress checks, confer with department supervisors to determine the status of assigned job orders.
- Create, update, and maintain Item masters.
- Review and resolve exception messages daily.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Employees are to speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency.
- Non-field-related positions require in-office work 5 days a week at the assigned branch office.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare special reports, as needed.
- Maintain files and records.
- Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment by actively participating in company safety programs.
- Comply with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program.
SKILLS :
- Computer Knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Infor Syteline, MRP systems).
- Must be well organized, have strong time-management skills, and be very detail oriented.
- Knowledge of operations & manufacturing production planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team setting.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Kaizen Continuous Improvement.
QUALIFICATION :
1-2 years of experience in Production Control or Production Planning position.
PAY RANGE : $23.00-$25.00 / HR
SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday; 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
