POSITION DESCRIPTION : The new Nurse Practitioner (NP) will see a variable number of patients per day, depending upon types of appointments scheduled, and will be supported by a dedicated clinical assistant.
The NP will collaborate with a supervising physician as needed. The duties of the role include, but are not limited to : - physical examinations and patient assessments - obtain medical histories - manage a range of patient health and wellness issues - coordinate care - provide preventive health services - order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed - prescribe medications as needed - review lab results and propose plans of action according to results - counsel and educate patients and families - assist in overall patient quality management The practice uses the MDLand EHR.
