MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (REPOST)

Main Purpose of Job

This position will provide clinical social work to behavioral health patients on either an outpatient basis or in a school-based setting with a particular focus on high-risk patients with cases which present a great deal of complexity.

This position will provide these services to children, adolescents and / or adults. The position will function under minimal supervision.

This position is designated Emergency Essential : 24 / 7 status, may need to respond to a public health emergency and provide own transportation.

Position may be required to stay late or come in after hours. The position is also eligible for telework, per the Caroline County Health Department Leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Experience : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. In accordance with Health Occupations Title 17 and Code of Maryland Regulations , candidates placed in this classification must be licensed by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

2. Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.

Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
