PDQ Staffing is now hiring an experienced Fitter for our client, a national manufacturer, supplier, and installer of canopies and related components for all sectors of the Retail Petroleum Industry.
This is a temp to hire position with the possibility to hire on in a permanent role.
Location : Arlington, TX
Pay Rate : $17-$20hr depending on experience
Shifts Available : 6am-2 : 30pm / 3pm-11 : 30pm (time varies depending on OT)
Responsibilities : Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and, measuring tapes. Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers.
Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes. Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
Study engineering drawings and blue prints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
