Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Tech to work full-time day shifts in the Purchased Lab.

This position is M-F, no weekends and no holidays

Sign on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates!

Job responsibility to perform laboratory tests; interpret results; document and report results. Maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or a Bachelor's degree

chemical, physical or biological science

ASCP or AMT certification; or eligible for certification

Job Summary

Performs laboratory tests; interprets results; documents and reports results. Maintains department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological science or Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution.

ASCP or AMT certification required. Certification eligible applicants with American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) may be considered with proof of eligibility prior to date of employment.

Certification for eligible employees shall be acquired within one year from date of hire. Certification must remain current for continued employment.
