Responsibilities of the Tax Manager :
- Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients for business, partnership, and individual returns.
- Collect and organize financial data and relevant documents from clients.
- Accurately complete federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040) for clients.
- Ensure all information is correct and compliant with current tax laws and regulations.
- Calculate tax liabilities, deductions, credits, and payments.
- Meet with clients to discuss their financial situation and tax needs.
- Provide guidance on tax planning to minimize tax liabilities and maximize returns.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to their tax filings.
- Implement updates to tax filing procedures based on new laws and IRS guidelines.
- Conduct internal audits of tax returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Use tax preparation software to complete and file tax returns electronically.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding client information.
What the company needs in a Tax Manager :
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of tax experience
- Experience with Form 1040, U.S. Individual Tax Returns
- CPA License Designation preferred
- In-depth knowledge of tax law and regulations
Salary : $100,000- $150,000
