Position Summary :
Adjunct Faculty for the Education Leadership and Management Program, under the direction of the Program Director of ASC and ELM Programs, provides instruction, guidance, and support to CSOE candidates (students) online via Canvas for the following courses :
Educational Leadership, Assessment and Accountability, School Law and Ethics, Management of Human Resources, Instructional Leadership for Student Learning, School Family and Community Relations, School Finance and Plant Operations, and Research Seminar & Field Experience.
This program's curriculum prepares the candidate for leadership in a comprehensive consideration of educational settings inclusive of public and private schools, lower and higher educational settings, and government entities, as well as other private and public organizations.
We offer concentrations in TK-12 Leadership and Higher Education Leadership.
Starting Pay : $39 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Doctoral or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university, depending upon the needs of the course being taught.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years experience facilitating an asynchronous online classroom Experience in the areas(s) of specialization and expertise related to Educational Leadership and Management and / or Organizational Leadership.

- Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- The ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- The ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms.
- The ability to be flexible with workflow to meet the needs of the department, candidates, and to manage multiple tasks per required deadlines.
- The drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable and guide candidates toward task completion.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with candidates and Alliant employees, as well as the Registrar’s Office and various academic departments.
- Culturally competent and ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse people.

- Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal interactions, and to maintain confidentiality.
- Collaboration and partnering with other university stakeholders to support candidate success. Ability to make administrative / procedural decisions and judgments.

- Facilitating Classroom and Distance / Distributed Learning
- Course and syllabus implementation / facilitation
- Assessment and evaluation of candidates
- Video-guided instruction
- Mentoring and advising of candidates
- Holding virtual office hours and conferencing with candidates
- Research / scholarship mentoring and supervision, particularly of MA theses, PsyD projects, EdD dissertations
Supervisory Responsibility :
Direct Reports : Program Director of ASC and ELM Programs of Campus.
Indirect Reports : None.
Contact Responsibility :
Internal : Interacts with Program Director to receive support and guidance throughout the instructional term. Main communication is between Adjunct Faculty and currently enrolled candidates.
External : None.

This is a fully remote position, with faculty choosing their own environment to teach in.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to execute those physical activities required to perform the essential functions including, but not limited to, regular sitting and being mobile;
continual communicating; regular keyboarding; regular reading of both print and digital material; and all other activities required to perform essential functions.
