The Sr. College Recruiter serves as the College of Arts and Sciences’ strategist for the coordination of recruitment and yield activities for students seeking Masters and Professional degrees for the Office of Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies (IPS).
The position reports to the Executive Director of the IPS Office and serves as the primary recruiter overseeing admissions for the unit’s Masters and Professional Degree Programs.
The incumbent supervises the College Recruiter and works closely with the Executive Director, IPS Program Directors, and College Leadership to develop the unit’s comprehensive recruitment plans, and market strategies aimed at recruiting top-notch and diverse students for the graduate programs that the IPS Office oversees.
The successful candidate will have the proven ability to meet enrollment goals, attention to detail, follow-through, and dependability.
Develop, implement, and assess a recruitment plan for Masters and Professional degree programs (70%)
- In conjunction with IPS Executive Director, develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to optimize yield from admit to deposit and matriculation to interdisciplinary master's and professional degree programs and support of pipelines to maintain / increase enrollment for the degrees offered through the IPS Office.
- Identify target markets and demographics to effectively focus recruitment efforts.
- Plan and execute on and off campus recruitment events and travel universities, employers and essential conferences and events for enrollment, networking, and visibility purposes.
- Prepare and present professional information sessions regarding graduate programs both on and off campus.
- Meet regularly with faculty and program directors to learn about their program enrollment goals and strategies for reaching and exceeding them.
- Guide prospective students through the application process, providing clear and timely information and support; Provide advising and support through the admissions process for prospective students including information gathering, the application and interview process, and all ongoing follow-up via phone, e-mail, and in-person visits.
- Consistently report on the progress to maintain / increase enrollment to leadership.
- Develop strategic partnerships to encourage recruitment.
Travel extensively to strategic areas to identify and recruit prospective students and support IPS programs (30%)
- Represent the College of Arts and Sciences and the respective IPS programs at conferences and recruiting events.
- Support the planning and organizing college-wide open houses and informational sessions, on and off campus.
- Work with program directors to help organize events hosted by program areas.
- Cultivate strong alumni and industry partnerships for referrals of new prospective students.
- Coordinate student visits virtually and to campus.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Certification and Licensing :
Proficiency in using recruitment tools (e.g. Slate).
Experience :
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in recruitment, admissions, or a related field ; 3-5 years of experience preferred.
Any relevant education, certifications and / or work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes :
- Ability to travel extensively locally and nationally, and work evenings and weekends when needed.
- Proactive, assertive, and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed recruitment targets.
