We are seeking an innovative and experienced Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with healthcare design experience to join our renowned design team and manage a portfolio of projects.

As a Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager at Cosentini, you will have the opportunity to grow and advance as you work on exciting and challenging projects.

You will have the chance to mentor and impart knowledge to junior engineers and designers. At the same time, you will be working with some of the top engineers in the field, gaining expertise and building your reputation and career, and have a chance to make a difference through using your experience to support the process of bringing MEP designs to reality.

Your role :

  • Performing complex mechanical building design on a variety of projects to include hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential and high-rise office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
  • Manage the design of projects involving studies, reports, design, development, project management, and field implementation.
  • Incorporating design changes using AutoCAD and / or Revit software
  • Assist teams in performing design load calculations, equipment selections and mechanical system design
  • Providing credit documentation for LEED, and other building rating system design and compliance
  • Assisting in the preparation of basis-of-design descriptions, responses to client comments and other project-related documentation.
  • Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers.
  • Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What kind of candidate are we looking for? We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in the HVAC design systems for healthcare and other commercial facilities, have an organized approach to analyzing systems and a thorough understanding of MEP systems.

Qualifications :

  • Proficient with the use of Trace 700, AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code and healthcare compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Project and client relationship management experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • PE registration is highly preferred in New York, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E. in 1-2 years.

Pay : $85,000 - 170,000 annually, commensurate on experience and skills.
