Well-established and growing family-owned accessibility industry leader and innovator in the design and manufacturing of quality ramps serving the manufacturing and healthcare sectors by providing newfound freedom to the elderly and handicapped community with the most diverse range of accessibility products in the industry is seeking a qualified Human Resources Manager.

Hours are Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm. Position is on site, but has occasional remote flexibility. Salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruitment, candidate selection, and onboarding process
  • Managing candidate evaluation process
  • Ensuring company s procedures comply with employment regulations
  • Monitoring various aspects of an employee s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
  • Assessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
  • Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
  • Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
  • Annual health insurance renewals and competitive leveling
  • Managing an HR Administrator in the future
  • Managing staffing agency / recruiter relationships
  • Performing any other related duties as required or assigned
  • Reviewing new hires monthly for ACA compliance
  • Preparing FMLA paperwork as needed
  • Maintaining employee benefits programs and informing employees of benefits
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Maintaining management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Maintaining organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program
  • Counseling managers on candidate selection
  • Conducting and analyzing exit interviews and recommending changes
  • Ensuring the processing of new hires, temporary workers, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely

Requirements :

  • 3-7+ years in Human Resources
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Proven ability to recruit successfully using all major recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate staff
  • Solid understanding of key principles of employment law
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
  • Solid ethics and morals and sound judgment
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or bachelor s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field is preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook / Word / Excel)
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
