The Palace Care Center -
The Palace is looking for a reliable and devoted applicant to take on the role of Unit Manager at our quaint, long-term care facility.
This is a Full-Time Salaried Position Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities Entail :
- Monitor licensed and unlicensed nursing staff in delivering quality care to each resident
- Ensure that nursing staff follows policy and procedures, including appropriate dress code
- Attend and participate in morning clinical review meeting
- Review 24- hour resident change in condition report daily and correspond with DON on changes in treatments as necessary
- Review resident medical records and documentation to ensure clinical programs are in place per policy and procedures
- Collaborate with the Educator on programs which meet the educational needs of staff
- Ensure required documentation is completed for every shift in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations on unit, reporting any known violations to the Administrator and DON
- Assist the DON / ADON with preparing performance evaluations as directed. Greet new admissions and families and assist nursing staff with admission process as needed
- Ensure that all admission documentation is complete in a timely manner
- Monitor medication distributions and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary
Qualifications :
- New Jersey RN license (preffered) or a New Jersey LPN license (at minimum)
- Must be currently licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
- At least 2 years of Supervisory Experience
- Experience in Long Term Care
